SPRING BREAK MISSIONS PROJECT

MARCH 8-15,2003

TLAXCALA, TLAXCALA, MÉXICO

 

 

Purpose: To open new student ministry on Tlaxcala campuses in cooperation with student ministry in Puebla, Puebla (neighboring state), México

 

            The purpose was achieved through Prayer Walking, on campus

            presence, and a special event the final night of the emphasis.

 

The first two days were dedicated to prayer walking in the city of Tlaxcala and three of its university campuses. Time was spent in prayer walking Tuesday in the suburb of Zacaltelco and Wednesday at the Technological University in the city of Apizaco.

 

PRAYER WALKS:

 

            5 CAMPUSES                       3 TLAXCALA, 1 APIZACO,1 ZACATELCO

            2 CITIES                               TLAXCALA, APIZACO

 

Personal Contact was made with 135 students on the 5 campuses

 

            91       student questionaires were filled out

79       expressed sincere interest in being a part of a Bible Study on campus (this is very significant)

11        had no interest

 1         made no response

62       evangelistic tracts were given out

 6         responded to the tracts wanting Bible Study

16+     heard a complete plan of Salvation

            (12 in group at School of Sociology and 4 in park)

45       participated in special closing night event at First Baptist Church of Tlaxcala, 20 were non-believers and heard gospel through songs,

            testimonies and devotional presented by Cumberland University

            students

 

PRAYER REQUEST:    Please pray for Adrian and Ari Netzauatl and Brisaida, three very special people. They are the answer to our prayer to send leadership for this ministry in Tlaxcala.
